Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor’s son and Shraddha Kapoor's brother Siddhanth Kapoor was granted bail on Monday, following his arrest for allegedly consuming drugs.
Siddhanth and four others were taken into custody from a party in Bengaluru on Sunday.
All five of them will have to further appear before police whenever they are called at the station, said Deputy Commissioner of Police for East Bengaluru Bheema Shankar Gulled, reports NDTV.
He said: "Siddhanth Kapoor's medical reports show he had consumed drugs. We have already arrested him and are following the procedure. We will be sending him to judicial custody."
The DCP mentioned that police had raided the party on a tip-off and detained 35 people. Police also found cannabis and MDMA that night and are set to investigate CCTV footage to find out who possessed those.
However, police are unsure whether the detainees had consumed drugs at the party or had previously taken it before going there.
