Position of BNP, other parties weakened

As the anti-Awami League camp is strong in the Comilla-1 constituency, its rival the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has won huge votes in every competitive election since the ‘90s. Even though it lost to the Awami League in 2008, the margin of votes was not too wide.

Lebanon clashes kill 6 in Palestinian refugee camp

At least six people were killed Sunday in clashes in south Lebanon's restive Ain al-Helweh Palestinian refugee camp, said Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas's Fatah movement and a source at the camp.
