An interview with the Brazilian couple recently went viral on Twitter, where the woman, who goes by the name Emanuela, describes the sad event when she was robbed while crossing a road and how it led to her finding love.
The man says: "When I saw her photo on the phone, I said to myself, 'What a beautiful brunette, you don't see a brunette like that every day,' and I regretted stealing it (her phone)."
He then contacted her using the details he could find on the phone.

The reporter started joking about it, saying that he not only snatched her phone but also her heart.
The couple has reportedly been dating for the past two years, according to the New York Post.
