With Bangladesh soon to graduate from a least developed country, it is imperative that it explore new avenues for trade. To that end, we wholeheartedly agree with FBCCI President Md Jashim Uddin that it is essential to strengthen commercial activities in order to expand trade in non-conventional markets.

Will Biman benefit from adding new Airbus aircraft to its fleet?

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has formulated a plan to expand its fleet size to 45 aircraft from the existing 21 by 2031 in order to generate more revenue.

Bangladesh's light engineering sector, despite its nascence, has always held a lot of promise in terms of becoming an exporting industry. In fact, earlier this year, it was stated by experts that the industry stands to earn $25 billion by exporting products to potential markets like China, the US, India, Singapore, and Japan, provided that necessary policy support was given to the sector.
