PM Hasina: LNG to be imported from spot market to meet demand in summer

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday told the parliament that the process of importing LNG from spot market has already been started to meet the demand of gas for power generation during the ongoing irrigation season, upcoming holy month of Ramadan and summer.

Fire Service rescue team leaves for Turkey Thursday night

A 12-member team of Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence will leave for Turkey on Thursday night to join the search and rescue efforts there in the aftermath of devastating earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on Monday, claiming at least 11,000 lives.
