Researchers have found that students who listen to music while studying are more likely to get higher grades.
A total of 2,000 American students recently talked to research company OnePoll about their study and music habits.
The results show half of the students who regularly listened to music got higher GPAs.
Meanwhile, 60% of the respondents said having sound in the background helped them study better, reports Fox29.
A total of 80% of students said that it is therapeutic to listen to music, while three in four respondents said it helped them absorb information better.
"There are a variety of platforms students can tap into to aid their studying habits, whether it’s an instrumental music playlist on Spotify, a soothing meditation on Calm, or rain sounds on YouTube," Dr Christina Agvent, program director of teaching and learning at CSU Global said.
Results also showed classical, R&B and country music are the best choice when studying.
