In a series of tweets and public statements, billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk has once again stirred controversy by advocating for increased population growth and suggesting restrictions on voting rights for those without children.

With nine children of his own, Musk has been vocal about his concerns regarding declining birth rates and what he perceives as an "under-population crisis”.

Last year, Musk took to Twitter, stating: "A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far."

Since then, he has been urging couples to have multiple children and sharing his thoughts on how to address the issue.

Recently, he made headlines by suggesting that individuals without children should have limited voting rights, a statement that ignited a heated debate.

Musk defended his position, arguing that those without children have "little stake in the future."

This viewpoint garnered support from some, with one Twitter user suggesting that limiting suffrage to parents could be a way to ensure the long-term viability of democracy, a sentiment to which Musk responded with a simple "Yup."

The billionaire has also dismissed concerns about overpopulation and its impact on the environment.

Speaking at the All-In Summit in 2022, Musk stated: "Some people think that having fewer kids is better for the environment. It's total nonsense. The environment is going to be fine even if we doubled the size of humans."

He emphasized the importance of maintaining, if not growing, population numbers to prevent the decline of civilization.

To counter the fears expressed by some individuals about bringing children into what they perceive as a troubled world, Musk highlighted historical context. "I've heard many times, 'How can I bring a child into this terrible world?' Because let me tell you, it was way worse back then," he stated, underscoring his belief that having children is essential for the continuation of society.

Elon Musk co-parents his nine children with various partners, including musician Grimes and entrepreneur Shivon Zilis. His growing family includes twins, 18-year-old twins, and triplets.
