Saudi Arabia has made it easier for pilgrims wishing to perform the Umrah with the scope for visa processing in 24 hours.
Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr Tawfiq Al-Rabiah made the announcement on Thursday, reports the Saudi Gazette.
Pilgrims can apply online and avail an Umrah visit visa within 24 hours, he said.
The move is in line with the Saudi government’s Vision-2030 to increase the number of Umrah pilgrims to the middle-eastern country.
Those on the Umrah visit visa will be able to travel to any region in Saudi Arabia without any issue.
This year Saudi authorities opened the country to one million Hajj pilgrims, 85% of whom are foreigners.
Bangladesh will start operating Hajj flights from Dhaka airport from Sunday.
