Saudi Arabia and other middle eastern countries will observe Eid-ul-Fitr on Monday (May 2) as the Shawwal moon was not sighted on Saturday, reports Gulf news.
Therefore, Sunday will be the last day of Ramadan and Monday will be the first day of Shawwal.
Singapore, Australia, France also announced that the countries will observe Eid-ul-Fitr on Monday.

Meanwhile in Bangladesh, the National Moon Sighting Committee will meet on Sunday to fix the date for observing Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Islamic Foundation said on Saturday that the meeting will be held at the foundation's Baitul Mukarram office after Maghrib prayers for reviewing information on the sighting of the Shawwal moon.
