Bangladesh finished eighth in the Davis Cup Asia/Ocenia Zone-4 after losing to Myanmar 0-2 in the 7th-8th place decider at the UAE yesterday.
Biplob Ram of Bangladesh lost the first match to Zoe Latt 1-6, 1-6 and Jamil Bhuiyan lost the second to Aung Ki Nang 4-6, 1-6. With the rubber decided, there was no need for the doubles match. By finishing eight, Bangladesh ensured they would stay in zone-4 along with Qatar, Saudi Arab, Jordan, Bahrain, Myanmar, Iraq and Kyrgyzstan. Turkmenistan and Singapore were promoted to the group -3.
