A five-member Bangladesh tennis team flew for Malaysia Sunday night to take part in the Fed Cup Asia/Oceania Zone Group-2 for the first time.
Ishita Afroz, Jerin Sultana Jolly, Mashfia Afrin, Sushmita Sen and captain Shibu Lal will represent Bangladesh in the meet where they will compete against three other countries in the group stage. Disha Islam has been named as the manager of the team.
Along with Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Uzbekistan, New Zealand, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and hosts Malaysia will be participating in the tournament as the teams have been split into two groups.
