Much like the second round, India and China reigned supreme in the quarter-finals of the Walton 32nd Bangladesh International Junior Tennis Championship Wednesday at Ramna National Complex in Dhaka.
In the boys’ first quarter-final, India’s Aryan Jaberi beat compatriot Ishan Sethi 2-6, 6-2, 6-1. In the second quarter, India’s Udayveer Singh defeated compatriot Dhrubo Tangriri 6-2, 7-5.
In the third last-eight clash, India’s Kushan Shah beat Chinese Taipei’s Hian Ju Wu 6-0 6-3 while in the fourth quarter-final, China’s Owenmao Li defeated India’s Faiz Nasiam 6-2, 6-2.
Meanwhile in the girls’ quarter-finals, China’s Mi Tianmi beat top seed Ananya Kothkotha of the USA 6-1, 6-4, China’s Sun Ifan defeated India’s Jafor Rayhan 6-3, 0-6, 6-1, India’s Ishita Singh beat compatriot Deepshikha Sriram 6-0, 6-2 and China’s Jo Jiaoyan defeated compatriot Jiang Jijun 6-3, 6-2.
