Amol Roy of Engineer’s Recreation Centre and Afrana Islam Prity of Narsingdi Club clinched the titles of the men’s singles and women’s singles crown respectively in the Runner Victory Day Tennis Tournament, organised by Bangladesh Tennis Federation and sponsored by Runner Group.
Amol beat Dipu Lal of Daraaz Bangladesh Limited 7-6, 7-6 in a thrilling nail-biter while Prity beat Ishita Afroz of BKSP 6-3, 7-5 in a similar contest.
The duo of Amol and Ranjan Ram won the men’s doubles category while Ishita and Zerin Sultana won the women’s doubles title.
The tournament finals were held at National Tennis Complex in Ramna and got underway Sunday.
The chairman of Runner Group, Hafizur Rahman Khan was present Saturday as the chief guest and distributed the prizes among the players.
