Reigning national junior chess champion Ikramul Haque Siam and FIDE Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman jointly shared the lead along with four other players following the conclusion of the fourth round of the Union Insurance 34th National Junior (Under-20) Chess Championship yesterday.
Fahad, youngest FIDE Master of the country, defeated Saikat while Siam beat Zisha in their respective fourth round games at the Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room. The other players who are jointly at the top of the points table are former junior champions Abdullah Al Saif, Avik Sarkar, Akib Jawad, Kawshik Chowdhury and Abu Bakar Jibon. Saif beat Muhit, Avik defeated Kowshik while Akib overcame Munia.
