Gakuto staged a comeback to win the next two by 28-27, 27-26.

Alif won the fifth set by 29-26 to confirm the gold.

Earlier, Alif defeated Chen Pin-An of Chinese Taipei in the semi-finals Tuesday.

Alif said winning first international gold on foreign soil is really a great feeling, reports BSS.

In his immediate reaction after winning the gold Alif through a video message said: "It's a great feeling to me because this the first time I have able to hear the national anthem on foreign soil after winning the first gold in international competition."

When queried about his next target, the archer said his only aim now is to win medal in Olympics and keeping this ambition in mind, he is taking preparation accordingly under the coach.

Alif also appealed to the archery federation to organize more competitions for the team.

He said: "More competitions are needed to improve team's performance because if the federation organises more competitions for the team, the world ranking of the team would be improved and the chances of qualifying for the Olympics would brighten."
