Defending champions Bangladesh stormed into the semi-finals of the Bangabandhu Cup International Kabaddi 2024 beating Poland 79-28 to secure a fourth straight win at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium, Mirpur Thursday.

The hosts with 100% winning record have eight points atop Group A and will face Nepal in their last encounter Friday after which the group winner will be decided.

Nepal also have four wins from as many games and confirmed semi-final spot after beating Indonesia 63-34 later the same day.

It was another facile victory for the home side as Poland had no answers against the raid and defence of Arduzzaman Munshi and Co. who arrived as the runaway winners.

Bangladesh wore their second choice grey and white outfit to avoid Poland’s red but the winning spirit was the same.

A total of seven Lonas, three in the first and four in the second half, was proof of the one-way affair.

It is also the biggest points haul for the hosts in this edition.

Skipper Arduzzaman again led from the front with 25 points and was adjudged man of the match.

Razib Ahmed added 15 points for his team.
