Razib finishes 41st in Mumbai

Bangladesh Grandmaster Enamul Hossain Razib finished 41st and GM Ziaur Rahman became 44th in the 6th Mayor Cup International Open Chess Tournament in Mumbai. They both finished with six points . In the 11th and last round yesterday, Razib beat Phadke Sohan of India while Zia lost to Sunilduth Lyna Narayanan of India. Other Bangladeshi players FM Mehdi Hasan Parag finished 64th with 5.5 points while FM Debaraj Chatterjee, who also earned 5.5 points, finished 71st. Zoar Haque Pradhan finished 104th, Kazi Taherul Islam finished 108th, Abul Kashem and Kazi Mahbub Afzal finished 122nd and 124th respectively. Pantsulaia Levan of Georgia clinched the title with 8.5 points. A total 138 players including 24 GMs, two women GMs and 25 International Masters from 14 countries participated in the event.
