Bangladesh Grandmaster Ziaur Rahman beat J Yohan of India to earn 5.5 points after 9th round of the 6th Mayor Cup International Open Chess Tournament Mumbai 2013 in India yesterday. Meanwhile, GM Enamul Hossain Razib earned 5 points, Fide Master Mehdi Hasan Parag earned 4.5 points, FM Debaraj Chatterjee earned 4 points, Kazi Taherul Islam and Zoar Haque Pradhan earned 3.5 points each, Kazi Mahbub Afzal earned 3 points and Abul Kashem earned 2.5 points after the end of the 9th round. In yesterday's matches, Parag, Taher and Kashem picked up wins over Indians M Reddy Chakravarthi, Afzal and Modi Divyam respectively. Debaraj drew with Dodeja Pawan of India while Razib and Zoar lost to hosts IM Swayams Mishra and B Kumaran respectively.
