Bangladesh Prime Minister rewards sports personalities

The Bangladesh Premier presented cash rewards and flats to the athletes at Gonobhaban. During the ceremony that lasted for more than an hour, 339 athletes, coaches and officials were rewarded for their contributions. In her speech during the closing stages of the ceremony, the Bangladesh PM congratulated the athletes and officials and said the government will provide all sorts of assistance for the development of sports in the country. Among those who were rewarded included Tigers Test captain Mushfiqur Rahim, ODI skipper Mashrafe bin Mortaza, the Bangladesh cricket team, the national women's cricket team, the Bangladesh women's football team, the U-14 football team, and several others.
