Tofazzal Hossain of Bangladesh Army won a couple of silver medals in the men’s individual and mixed team event in the 2nd International Archery Tournament in Kyrgyzstan Friday.
Tofazzal lost to Kursanaliev Ulukbek of the host 6-2 to win silver in the individual event while partnering with Nasrin Akter he also won silver in the mixed team event after losing the final against the home team.
The men’s team comprising Tofazzal, Mohammad Redwan and Abdullah al Mamun beat the host 6-0 in the third-place decider to win bronze in the team event.
Meanwhile, a four-member Bangladesh archery team comprising Ruman Shana, Tamimul Islam, Hakim Ahmed Rubel and Beauty Roy were scheduled leave Dhaka Friday night for Philippines to participate in the 2019 Asia Cup World Ranking Tournament, Stage-3.
