The second edition of the National Youth Archery Championship took place at Shahed Ahsan Ullah Master Stadium with the opening ceremony at 10am Monday.
City Group’s director Shoaib Mohammad Asaduzzaman was present as the chief guest, along with Bangladesh Archery Federation’s general secretary Kazi Rajibuddin Ahmed.
On the first day of the qualification round in the junior category (U-20) men’s recurve, Tamimul Islam (BKSP) was first with a score of 650 points.
In the women’s recurve, Borsha Khatun (Tirnondaj Shangshad) finished top with a score of 588.
In the women’s compound event, Ritu Akhtar (Tirnondaj Shangshad) was first with a score of 648.

In the cadet category (U-17) men’s recurve, Mohammad Ibrahim Sheikh Rezwan (Tirnondaj Shangshad) top-scored with 662.
In the women’s recurve, Diya Siddiqui (BKSP) finished first with a score of 634.
In the compound men’s singles, Mohammad Siyam Siddique (Tirnondaj Shangshad) top-scored with 674 and in the compound women’s singles, Bonna Akhtar (Tirnondaj Shangshad) finished top with a score of 667.
The awards ceremony will take place Tuesday at 3 pm.
