The 13th National Wushu tournament ended at the Shaheed Sohrawardi Indoor stadium with Bangladesh Ansar winning both the men’s and women’s disciplines.
The Ansar women won ten gold, five silver and four bronze medals in their taolu and sanda events. Finishing closely behind was Bangladesh Army with nine gold, five silver and six bronze medals.
Like the women, the Ansar men also lead the medal tally with seven gold, seven silver, and three bronze medals. Army finished runners up with seven gold, two silver and three bronze medals.
Dr. Biren Sikder MP, state minister for Youth and Sports was present as chief guest to give the awards along with deputy minister in the Ministry of Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy MP and many others.
