The Teer Archery Talent Hunt Programme 2018 under the Bangladesh Archery Federation's "Teer Go For Gold" project will be held in 12 different districts, starting Monday.
A total of 50 players will be selected in the opening day of the two-day trial before the number gets decreased to 20 in the second and final day. These 20 budding archers will be given eight-day long training opportunities, guided by at least two coaches in each district.
Top two archers from each district, and 24 in total, will be selected for the final round of the residential training camp, scheduled to be held at Shaheed Ahsanullah Master Stadium in Tongi in three phases from May 22 to September 4 this year. The target from the final round is to include more players in the waiting list of the national team.
The programme is sponsored by City Group and the budget is approximately Tk3,75,000.
