Roksana, Susmita and Bonna will play directly in the top 16 elimination round against the opponents of Vietnam, Chinese Taipei and South Korea. Susmita and Bonna have to face better ranked opponents while Roksana will play 20th-placed Le Phuong Thao. Ruman and Tamim will also play directly in the 1/24 elimination round but the former will have comparatively lower-ranked oppositions until the top-eight elimination round, where he might face pre-seeded Mongolian archer Jantsan Gantugs tomorrow. Tamim may face second-placed South Korean archer Lee Woo Seok in the 1/16 elimination round. Bangladesh recurve men’s team comprising the top three scorers were placed ninth out of 19 teams. The compound women's team, which finished seventh in the previous edition, were placed sixth out of seven teams, only ahead of Hong Kong. Out of 50 participants in the compound men’s qualification round, Bangladesh archer Abul Kashem Mamun scored 569 points to be placed 22nd while Mohammad Nazmul Huda, Mohammad Milon Molla and Ehsan Ahmed were placed 32nd, 36th and 38th respectively. The compound men’s team were placed eighth, ahead of Iraq and Pakistan.

In the recurve women’s event, the host produced the poorest result where Nasrin Akter was the top scorer with 303 points to be placed at 41st while Beauty Ray, Rabeya Khatun and Radia Akter Shapla were placed 47th, 49th and 51st respectively out of 61 competitors. The recurve women’s team were placed 12th out of 14 teams. Bangladesh's Indian coach Nisith Das looked content with the performance of his disciples. He said, "We have some expectation in the recurve individual event and Ruman played very well and performed upto expectation. Tamim and Ibrahim also performed well. Hopefully they will adapt to the condition soon and maintain consistency."
