The League Committee of Bangladesh Hockey Federation declared the new dates for the three-day Dhaka Premier Hockey League players’ transfer yesterday. As per the new schedule the players’ transfer will be held on November 15-17.
The meeting, attended by the representatives of seven premier league hockey clubs, also decided to roll the Club Cup Hockey from December 5, the Victory Day tournament from December 16 and the premier league from December 27. However, the participation of Dhaka Mohammedan, Mariner Young’s and the other four clubs, who are stuck with their decision of not playing under the current executive committee, are still uncertain.
However, the fate of the club that will not participate in the players’ transfer and the league is yet to be decided. Abahani, Usha, Sonali Bank, Ajax, Wanderers, Sadharan Bima and Bangladesh Sporting are likely to take part in the transfer window. It was learnt that if the league consists of six or seven clubs there will be no relegation process involved.
The players’ transfer was earlier scheduled for October 29-31, but it was deferred by the committee in a meeting last week.
