Hockey Players Welfare Association (HPWA) and Dhaka Mohammedan both demanded immediate withdrawal of the bans imposed upon five hockey players by the Bangladesh Hockey Federation.
In two separate press releases yesterday, the HPWA said the players were just trying to find out when the date of the players transfer would be and they did not assault the head coach. If there are any misunderstanding the association apologises for the unwanted act and demands immediate withdrawal of the bans imposed upon the players.
BHF banned HPWA president Russell Khan Bappi for life, GS Ariful Haque Prince for ten years and players Shamsuddin Tuhin, Ashiquzzman and Asaduzzaman Chandan for five years each.
MSC also demanded the bans be withdrawn and said the incident would further complicate the ongoing crisis in hockey.
