Bangladesh Hockey Federation is all set to be boosted by a new sponsorship by First Security Islami Bank, who will be providing a purse of Tk20m for school hockey. The official deal will be signed today between the two parties. It will be biggest purse sponsorship purse for the hockey federation to date. The previous biggest deal was on with Janata Bank, one of the leading state owned banks, worth Tk9m a few months.
BHF, which is currently undergoing difficulties in its elections, is also looking for sponsorship for the national hockey team. The new sponsor for the team is likely to be announced in a few days.
