The much-hyped Bangladesh Hockey Federation election is scheduled on July 27, the National Sports Council (NSC) announced yesterday.
The drafted voters list will be published tomorrow and the objection submissions will be received on June 5 and 6 respectively. The selection of the nomination forms will be held on June 17 while the date of withdrawing a nomination is fixed on June 19. The election commission will revile the final candidate list on June 20 before the candidates fight for the 28 posts on June 27.
Meanwhile, Sajed AA Adel, a senior vice president candidate of the forthcoming election, announced his resignation from the vice president post of the present ad-hoc committee of BHF yesterday. “I am frustrated with the proceedings as the federation president pledged that he will take the necessary actions regarding the nomination of NSC nominated councilors. No action was taken till date and thus I decided to resign,” said Sajed.
Earlier on Saturday, five officials, including two vice presidents, resigned from their posts.
