Bangladesh women pitted with India in Saff Championship

Bangladesh have been drawn with reigning champions and hosts India in the upcoming fourth South Asian Football Federation Women's Championship, scheduled to begin in Siliguri on December 26 this year. Alongside Bangladesh and three-time champions India, Group B also comprises Afghanistan. Group A, meanwhile, contains three-time runners-up side Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bhutan. Bangladesh will start their campaign against the Afghans on December 29 before facing the home side on January 1 next year. Bangladesh will be bidding to register their best ever finish in the forthcoming edition, having exited in the semi-finals twice previously.
