Four age-level football events in the offing

Update : 14 Nov 2016, 07:37 PM
The development committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation is set to submit a proposal to the executive committee to include four different age-level tournaments in a calendar year in a bid to prioritise youth development. The proposed tournaments are Under-12, 14, 16 and 18 which the development committee wants to organise every year. They hoped that if the four tournaments are held regularly, there wouldn’t be any crisis of footballers in the country. Looking at the activities of the BFF in the past, the fact is that there had rarely been any consistency in arranging at least one age-level tournament every year, let alone four. But the country’s football governing body now seems to be very cautious regarding the youth development programmes after the national team’s recent debacle in international football. A development committee meeting was held at BFF House on Monday. The committee declared a 26-man squad for the training camp of Super Mokh Cup 2016, naming Parvez Babu as coach and Mahbubur Rahman Polo as his assistant.
