Former Bangladesh trainer Abu Yousuf has been appointed the new head coach of Muktijoddha SKC for the upcoming football season.
The former national footballer penned a one-year deal with the Bangladesh Premier League club yesterday after Italian coach Flavio Raffo left the country unceremoniously at the end of last week.
Muktijoddha earlier flew in Raffo on December 28 to take over the club as head coach. The Italian coach though left the club after a month having failed to reach an agreement on the salary issue.
Yousuf’s last experience in coaching came five years ago when he took charge of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club as the interim head coach. He played for Bangladesh as a defender before coaching the national side.
