Bangladesh crashed to a 3-1 defeat against Malaysia Under-21 in a practice match in Kuala Lumpur yesterday ahead of the Hockey World League Round 2.
Fears over recent fourth-quarter slip-ups resurfaced as Bangladesh conceded all the three goals in the last 15 minutes. Midfielder Romman Sarker scored the consolation goal for Bangladesh in the last quarter of the game. The newly introduced match regulations implemented by International Hockey Federation were in place during the practice match.
Bangladesh will take on Malaysia A today in their second practice match before flying off to Singapore for the HWL Round 2.
Bangladesh will play against Oman in their final warm-up match this Thursday. Bangladesh will open their HWL Round 2 campaign against Japan this Saturday at 7am.
