Tsukitate unveiled as women’s coach

The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) officially introduced Norio Tsukitate as the head coach of the national women’s team at the BFF House yesterday. BFF president Kazi Salahuddin presented the Japanese coach to the press.

“I welcome you to Bangladesh. I hope you have a nice stay here and hope that our women’s football team get benefited from the experience that you have acquired throughout the years you have roamed in football,” said Salahuddin.

Salahuddin also thanked the president of the Japan Football Association, Kuniya Daini, for taking the initiative to send Tsukitate to Bangladesh.

Tsukitate expressed satisfaction over the progress of Bangladesh women’s football. “They have the

potential and I do not like to lose. I always try to win and I hope Bangladesh perform good in the Saff Women’s Championship next month. However, there is no shortcut to development in football. You need good and educated coaches and a well-organised development plan. Hope Bangladesh do better in the future,” said Tsukitate,

who has coached the national teams of Guam and Laos in his decorated coaching career.
