The Bengal Group Senior Division Football League comprising 10 teams starts at the Kamalapur stadium today.
Bengal Group is sponsoring the league with a purse of Tk1.5m. Commerce Minister Tofael Ahmed will inaugurate the league as the chief guest while Bangladesh Football Federation president Kazi Salahuddin will also be present as the special guest.
The deal was revealed in a press conference held at the BFF House yesterday. BFF senior vice president Abdus Salam Murshedy, Dhaka Metropolis Football League Committee chairman Sheikh Mohammed Maruf Hasan, BFF general secretary Abu Naeem Shohag and Bengal Group vice chairman Mohammed Jashimuddin were also present on the occasion.
The champions and runners-up side will get the ticket to play in the Bangladesh Championship League, the second tier of professional league, next season.
