‘Bad boy’ Balotelli in place of ‘biting’ Suaraze

Update : 21 Aug 2014, 10:20 PM

All is set for the controversial Italian striker Mario Balotelli to join English club Liverpool FC for £16m transfer fee from Italian club AC Milan.

Liverpool, one of the most successful English clubs was in desperate need of a quality striker, as their talisman, Luis Suarez left the club this year to join Spanish giant Barcelona.

That void has filled on Thursday, when Liverpool and AC Milan agreed to the transfer of Italian striker.

Milan said in a statement on their website: "Mario Balotelli left Milanello's sporting centre at 13:30 local time, after saying goodbye to his team-mates.”

"Before leaving the premises, the striker also bade goodbye to the members of Milan's press office," it added.

Balotelli provide size, speed, strength, and most importantly the pure goalscoring ability Liverpool lost with Suarez’s exit.

The notion of a starting front three of Balotelli, Daniel Sturridge, and Raheem Sterling should make the faithful at Anfield giddy.

The 24-year-old striker scored 14 times from his 30 appearence in Serie A last season.
