Koster to guide U23s in friendly

Update : 20 Aug 2014, 09:40 PM

The Bangladesh Under-23 football team’s fourth practice match against Bangladesh Police AC was deferred for two days and will now be played on Saturday at the Rajarbag Police Line Ground.

As Dutch head coach Lodewijk de Kruif is out of the country on a seven-day leave, assistant coach Rene Koster will take charge of the team. In their last practice match, the U23s defeated Bangladesh Army 3-1 at the Army Stadium.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh will miss midfielder Jamal Bhuiyan in the two friendly matches against Nepal on August 26 and 29 as the Denmark-born Bangladeshi expatriate is expected to arrive in Dhaka and join the national team’s training camp on September 3.
