Argentina may have fallen in the World Cup final to Germany, but they put their loss to good, noble use.
Bleacher Report, San Francisco-based digital media company on sports, published the report quoting Argentine paper El Dia.
According to the report, the players donated $135,000 for the runner-up finish to donate to Garrahan, a pediatric hospital in Buenos Aires.
The donation was made at the urging of Javier Mascherano and captain LionelMessi. The donation was made through Messi's foundation, as he had previously donated to the hospital.
According to the hospital's website, the added funds will be used to construct the Center for Integrative Cancer Patient care.
