Colombia's sensational midfielder James Rodriguez struck twice in a 2-0 win over Uruguay in the last 16 on Saturday to move top of the World Cup scorers list.
Playing at their first World Cup since 1998, Colombia reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup for the first time after a win over Uruguay in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday.
Colombia went ahead in 28th minute when Rodriguez took the ball on his chest and volleyed past Uruguay goalkeeper Fernando Muslera from outside the box.
Rodriguez doubled Colombia's lead early in the second half. It was his fifth World Cup goal making him the tournament's leading scorer. Rodriguez the hero is taken off just befoe the five menute of the final whistle.
Uruguay, playing without Luis Suarez went close through Edinson Cavani and Maximiliano Pereira but created few clear chances at the Maracana.
Colombia will play Brazil in the quarter-finals after the hosts beat Chile in a penalty shootout earlier on Saturday.
