BJMC, Brothers first QF today

Update : 31 Mar 2014, 05:26 PM

Team BJMC and Brothers Union lock horns in the first quarterfinal of the Modhumoti Bank Independence Cup Football at 5:00pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium today.

It will be the second face-off between the two teams in the season after their Bangladesh Premier League tie ended goalless. However in a knockout match this time, both the teams will try their best to settle the fate in the stipulated time. The hot and humid condition will also be a big factor as it will be testing the players’ fitness limits.

BJMC will rely on their Guinean marksman Ismael Bangoura and the mercurial left footed midfielder Abdullah Parvez. The duo of Bangoura and Parvez is lethal and is poised to pose all the troubles to Brothers defence.

Brothers Union coached by Indian legend Syed Naeemuddin plays an all out team game with youngster Rubel Mia and new Nigerian forward Chimezi Mike in lead role.
