Jamal Bhuiyan, the Denmark-born Bangladeshi footballer, joined the Bangladesh national team in Mumbai yesterday after flying from Denmark.
Jamal is the first non-resident Bangladeshi to play for national team and the midfielder showed glimpse of his brilliance in the Saff Championship in Nepal last year where he made his debut.
The 24-year-old is expected to pair with Mamunul Islam and Sohel Rana in the midfield. Young midfielder Vincent Hemanta Biswas could also make his debut for the national team.
Bangladesh will lock horns with India in a Fifa friendly scheduled to be kicked off at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa tomorrow at 6:30pm BST.
The 27-member Bangladesh squad flew to India on Sunday and enjoyed their first practice session yesterday afternoon.
