National head coach Lodewijk de Kruif has received an invitation from Indonesia for the national team announced a high official of the Bangladesh Football Federation yesterday.
Tabith Awal, the vice president of BFF, said, “At the moment, I can’t say anything final about the participation. The tournament is scheduled to be held in January and we will talk with the Indonesian federation after BFF secretary returns from Malaysia. We are also thinking of playing FIFA friendly in January as it helps the ranking, we will take the decision after thorough discussion,” said Tabith.
Meanwhile, Lodewijk de Kruif and his assistant Rene Koster watched the Abahani-Mohammedan match and de Kruif liked Mohammedan’s style. “Though Abahani won, I liked the way Mohammedan played. They played an attacking brand of game but lacked the finishing touch, and I am pleased to see the crowd, who were energetic in supporting their sides. Football means passion and it was there,” said de Kruif.
