Shanta slammed seven goals as Rangpur district kicked off their Plan Under-15 Girls’ football championship with a gigantic 16-0 victory over Joypurhat at the Dinajpur district stadium yesterday.
Rukhsana and Ratna also netted a hat-trick each for the victors while Moushumi and Lemu added one apiece. Meanwhile in the day’s other game, Jessore edged past Narail district 1-0 at the Chuadanga district stadium. Khadija scored the all important goal in the 64th minute. At Rajshahi district stadium, Bogra defeated Naogaon 1-0 with Nijhum scoring in the 38th minute.
