The draw and jersey unveiling ceremony of the “Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football Tournament 2026” was held on Thursday at the Bangladesh Olympic Association building, marking the return of one of the country’s biggest sporting events for journalists.
The five-day tournament will be held from May 3 to 7 at the Bangladesh Football Federation artificial turf, featuring 32 leading media houses from across the country.
At the ceremony, team jerseys were officially unveiled, followed by the group draw that set the fixtures for the competition.
Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) General Secretary S.M. Suman urged participants to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
Tournament committee convener Raihan Al Mughni provided an overview of the event structure, fixtures, and arrangements.
Senior Brand Manager of Square Toiletries Square Toiletries Adib Bin Shahid said the tournament represents a major gathering of the media community. “This is a big reunion of journalists, and we are proud to be associated with the BSJA Media Cup. We wish the tournament full success,” he said.
BSJA President Ariful Rahman Babu noted the long-standing history of the competition. “This tournament has been running for over two decades. We thank Kool and Square Toiletries for their continued support. It is a recreational event, so we encourage everyone to enjoy the game and avoid unnecessary injuries,” he said.
The official draw was conducted by Joint Secretary Arafat Jubaier in the presence of organizers and guests.
The event continues to serve as a festive platform, bringing together journalists from across the media industry through football and camaraderie
