Bangladesh Under-19 flies to Iraq

Update : 06 Oct 2013, 04:58 PM

Bangladesh U-19 football team flew to Iraq to play in AFC U-19 Qualifiers yesterday. Dutch goalkeeping coach Kees Kalk did not travel with the team.

With Kalk’s contract with the BFF about to expire, the federation decided not to send him at the last minute. The three other Dutch coaching staff - Lodewijk de Kruif, Rene Koster and Muhammet Yamali – did fly with the team.

Bangladesh have been placed in Group C and will face Iraq in the opening match tomorrow at the Francouse Al-Hareeri Stadium. The team’s other matches are against Kuwait on October 10 and against Pakistan on October 12.
