Barca Academy Summer Camp 2025 officially began Sunday at International School Dhaka, marking the academy's return after its successful Autumn Training Camp in October 2023.
The five-day camp, running from June 22 to 26, offers top-tier football training for players under 11, 14, and 18.
Daily sessions are scheduled from 10:00am to 5:30pm, with a lunch break from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
Certificates will be awarded to all participants on the final day.
Coaching is led by two Barca Academy experts - Xavier Tarsa, a UEFA III-licensed technical coordinator, and Eric Benavides, a veteran coach with international experience and a background in physiotherapy.
"Football surpasses borders, cultures, and languages. I am proud to see Barca values and Spanish excellence being shared here in Bangladesh, particularly among the young talents," said Gabriel Sistiaga, Spanish Ambassador to Bangladesh.
"ISD deserves applause for organizing another training camp."
Steve Calland-Scoble, Director of ISD, said, "We are thrilled to welcome back Barca Academy to ISD. We hope the summer camp will reflect our ongoing commitment to building character, nurturing talent, and offering our young students world-class opportunities both on and off the field."
Fahad Mohammad Ahmed Karim, vice president of the Bangladesh Football Federation, added, "The collaboration between Barca Academy and ISD has the power to shape the future of football in our country."
Alongside football drills, the camp highlights core Barca values - humility, effort, ambition, respect, and teamwork - offering young players a taste of the training philosophy that shaped stars like Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, Gerard Pique, and Sergio Busquets.
