Bangladesh have fell eight places in the Fifa rankings published on Thursday.
In August, Bangladesh was placed 158th but after their disappointing performance at the recent Saff Championships, they have fallen to 166.
By contrast, newly crowned Saff champions Afghanistan climbed seven places to 132nd – the highest ranking for a South Asian team. Maldives were 152nd, India 155th, Nepal 163rd at the fifth position, Sri Lanka with 168th Pakistan 170th and Bhutan 207th in the latest rankings.
