Hamza Choudhury left Bangladesh for the United Kingdom Thursday after a remarkable debut against hosts India in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers earlier this week.
The international bow in red and green jersey in Shillong was marked with a creditable goalless draw for the visitors, thanks to Hamza's notable contribution in midfield and defence.
Hamza left for the UK to join his club Sheffield United and is set to return for the upcoming Bangladesh match next June.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you. Inshallah I'll be back. See you in June," said Hamza through a video message sent by Bangladesh Football Federation, recorded before his departure.
The next fixture will see Bangladesh host Singapore on June 10.
If Hamza joins, it will be his first time playing on home soil.
