Update : 11 Sep 2013, 04:07 AM

Italy and the Netherlands became the first two nations from Europe to qualify for the 2014 World Cup football finals.

In the Group B match on Tuesday night, Italy fell behind when visiting Czech Republic striker Libor Kozak volleyed in a cross through Buffon in the 19th minute.

It was just minutes before Giorgio Chiellini scored the equaliser from a corner kick. Later, in the 54th minute of the second half, Mario Balotelli powered in the winner from a penalty after being brought down by Gebre Selassie.

Italy qualified from Group B undefeated.

Dutch forward Robin Van Persie ensured Holland the World Cup finals from Group D with his two goals against Andorra.

Persie delivered a Strootman cross in the 50th minute to open the account for Holland before easing in another in the 54th minute.
