Bangladesh Football Federation has extended the contract with Javier Cabrera and Peter Butler as head coach of men's and women's national team head coaches.
Both will be in charge of the respective teams until at least the end of this year.
Spanish coach Cabrera is set to remain as Bangladesh men's team head coach until April 30, 2026, while the deal with women's team's English head coach Butler is till December 31, 2026.
The details of the new contract of both the coaches were confirmed by the BFF.
The football federation's executive member Amirul Islam Babu also revealed this to the reporters Thursday.
Cabrera was appointed as the head coach of the Bangladesh men's national football team on January 8, 2022.
Butler was first brought in for BFF Elite Academy.
He later became temporary women's team head coach last year before guiding Bangladesh to an unbeaten campaign at the SAFF Women’s Championship 2024 in Kathmandu, Nepal in October.
