Bangladesh U-16 football team clinched third spot in the 2ndSaff U-16 Championship after beating Afghanistan 1-0 at the Nepal Army Ground in Kathmandu, Nepal yesterday.
Al Amin Tushar scored the all important goal for Bangladesh in the 55th minute of the game, after the first half went goalless.
Bangladesh earlier crashed out of the tournament after being defeated by Nepal in the semifinal. The team will return home today.
Meanwhile, India beat host Nepal 1-0 in the final match at the Dashrath Stadiumyesterday to lift the second 2nd Saff U-16 Championship trophy.
